Our commitment to joy, community and social inclusion through connection and fun

Our Elevating the Rainbow (ETR) Fund is a another way we support the LGBTIQA+ community's health and wellbeing by investing in creative projects that address mental health and social inclusion either by, or positively for, the diversity of the LGBTIQA+ communities.

Since our inception nearly 2 years ago, we have distributed $13,000 to the LGBTIQASBP+ communities as we believe in the healing power of community connections, relationships, joy and support.

What kinds of projects are eligible?

Any creative projects addressing mental health and/or social inclusion for the LGBTIQA+ communities is eligible

Who is eligible to apply?

Any incorporated organisation or person/group in an auspicing arrangement with an incorporated organisation is eligible to apply for an ETR fund grant

Are we funding projects in 2024

Unfortunately as we are not able distribute any funding in 2024 as we did not earn profits to distribute to the community. We are hoping to be able to distribute funds in 2025.

2022 Successful ETR Fund Grant Recipients

NAOMI by Patrick Livesey

The second successful grant recipient, is Naomi - a verbatim solo theatre performance about Patrick's mum, Naomi Jean, and her passing from suicide in 2015. In this work Patrick portrays eight characters whose real words are drawn from interviews with Naomi’s friends and family. This work premiered in Adelaide early 2022 and is set to make its Victorian premiere this October at fortyfivedownstairs. Through the eyes of these eight people who knew Naomi best, Patrick tells a story about mental illness, addiction, partner abuse and offers audiences the time and space to reflect on their own experiences with these issues.

The Queer Formal

The first successful fund recipient of The Iceberg Foundation's Philanthropic Fund was a young person who applied for funding to host a queer formal for him and his friends who were unable to attend their own formal due to COVID-19 and other issues. Funds were used to hire a safe space, cater for the event, pay for a face painting artist and for entertainment/activities.

The Iceberg Foundation organised and hosted The Queer Formal on stolen Woiwurrung Wurundjeri Country.
